Job summary

01 The Valley Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment and discharge planning for children with cognitive, communication and swallowing needs.

The role requires NJ licensure and ASHA certification; CFY candidates are considered. This on-site position emphasizes teamwork with physicians, nurses and therapists to support families and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Current state of New Jersey license in Speech-Language Pathology; ASHA certification preferred.
• Experience may include CFY or pediatric evaluation, treatment and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide goal directed SLP evaluation, treatment and discharge planning for pediatric patients.

Position Summary

To provide quality goal directed Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning to pediatric patients in a variety of age groups with cognitive, communication and/or swallowing disabilities. Pediatric oral motor/feeding experince is required. Education Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, Communication Disorders or related areas from an accredited college or university. Experience No previous experience required. Skills Current certification by the American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ASHA) in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent preferred. Maintains current state of New Jersey license in Speech-Language Pathology. May be a CFY candidate. Ability to perform work accurately and give attention to details. Ability to use effective critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities and perform job-related responsibilities. Ability to communicate and interact with the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members. Ability to function competently in a changing work environment related to changing patient needs.
