Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment for diverse age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, across Columbus Midtown. The role includes coordinating care, supervising rehabilitation staff, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP from ASHA, and Georgia licensure, plus BCLS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders required.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA required.
• Georgia state licensure required.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia.
• Interprets assessment data; plans and performs speech-language pathology treatment interventions.
• Supervises rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers.
• May orient and guide assigned staff.

Responsibilities

Speech Pathologist, FT, Piedmont Columbus Midtown, 5K SOB

Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school Required

Licenses and Certifications

• CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Required
• Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC Required
