Job summary

Holyoke Public Schools in Holyoke, MA seeks a Speech & Language Therapy Assistant to provide direct therapy to students across ages, using small group and inclusion interventions to develop listening, speaking, reading, writing, memory, and social communication skills.

You will consult with general and special education staff, assist the Speech and Language Pathologist with evaluations, participate in IEP meetings, and help implement and monitor IEP goals to meet district and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and licensure required.
• Certification as Speech-Language Pathology Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy to students across ages.
• Implement in small groups and inclusion interventions for listening, speaking, reading, writing, and social communication.
• Provide consultation to general education and special education staff.
• Assist the Speech and Language Pathologist with evaluations as needed.
