Job summary

Highlands Health and Rehab is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to plan, organize, develop, and direct speech pathology services in accordance with applicable standards and regulations in Memphis, TN. This is a full-time role with flexible scheduling; a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

The SLP will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and maintain CMS-compliant documentation. Strong licensure and CCC are required, with ongoing CE opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency.
• Active SLP license in state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals as appropriate.
• Evaluate and obtain data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Develop treatment plans with target list, short-term and long-term goals.
• Instruct patient, family, and staff in speech-language procedures for daily carryover.
• Complete compliant and medically necessary documentation in CMS expectations (NetHealth EMR).
• Oversee FEES/MBS protocols and coordinate site programs.
• Participate in screening protocols to identify resident needs promptly.

Highlands Health and Rehab is hiring for a Speech Therapist SLP to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Status: Full-Time with flexible scheduling or Per Diem/PRN

Location: Memphis, TN

Responsibilities:

• To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
• To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
• To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals
• Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities
• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems
• Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs
• Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence

Job Education & Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency
• MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
