Job summary

Pottsgrove School District seeks a Speech and Language Therapist to join the Pupil Services team. The role is based at Pottsgrove High School and West Pottsgrove Elementary, working itinerantly to serve students with autism and other communication needs in grades K-2 and 9-12.

The therapist will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services, collaborate with families and staff, manage a robust caseload, and document progress toward IEP goals. Experience with AAC is preferred.

Qualifications

• PA Certification in Speech/Language required
• State licensure to practice as a Speech/Language Therapist
• ASHA certification preferred
• Bachelor's in Speech/Language with enrollment in a Master’s program
• PA State Licensure and Master’s preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive speech/language assessment and therapy for students
• Develop, implement, maintain, and document a program of therapy aligned with IEP goals
• Adhere to district, intermediate unit, state, and federal guidelines
• Prepare and submit information relative to screenings, assessments, Evaluation Reports, IEPs, data collection and reports
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, therapists, and families to support student progress
• Maintain and submit schedules and billing information per district directives
• Maintain student caseload per Chapter 14 requirements
• Develop and implement intervention strategies and MTSS approaches
• Complete medical assistance billing for eligible students
• Support acquisition of assistive technology including AAC
