Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy invites a Speech and Language Pathologist to support students aged 5-21 with comprehensive speech therapy services. The role involves collaboration across disciplines, independent program review, and clinical judgment in evaluation and intervention planning.

The candidate will screen, evaluate, and design services aligned with IFSP/IEP goals, including transition planning and therapy for students with disabilities. CPI awareness and documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
• Must have current NY license to practice.
• TSSLD certification is preferred but not required.
• PROMPT experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Promote optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities.
• Collaborate with families and other disciplines to address goals in IFSP/IEP.
• Provide evaluations for language, auditory processing, articulation, and voice fluency.
• Work with children who have autism to implement goals.
• Write evaluations and progress reports.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and colleagues.
• Maintain documentation of services and student needs according to state/local requirements.
• Role responsibilities may extend beyond the listed items.
