Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in New Bern, NC. You’ll support students by providing speech and language services that directly impact communication and learning.

This full-time role offers competitive pay up to $41/hour, W-2 employment with liability insurance, healthcare benefits, and a 401(k) with company match. Licensure/CEU reimbursements and mileage between sites are included.

Qualifications

• Registration with the NC Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• School-based experience preferred, not required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers screening protocols.
• Administers therapeutic treatment protocols written by the speech-language pathologist.
• Communicates with students and other professionals to meet the emotional needs of students.
• Obtains case histories and completes observation checklists.
• Manages behavior using appropriately designed management techniques.
• Summarizes and records target behaviors during therapy sessions.
