Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in Fayetteville, NC. This full-time role supports students by providing speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

You'll contribute to assessment, therapy planning and implementation, and collaborate with teachers and other professionals to promote communication and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must pass the NC Board competency test for SLPA.
• Registration with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers screening protocols.
• Administers therapeutic treatment protocols written by the supervising SLP.
• Communicates with students and other professionals to support learning and emotional needs.
• Obtains case histories and completes observation checklists.
• Manages behavior using approved strategies.
• Summarizes and records target behaviors during therapy sessions.

What You'll Do

• Administers screening protocols

• Summarizes and records target behaviors during therapy sessions.

What We're Looking For

• Passing score on a competency test approved by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists
• Registration as an assistant with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred, not required
