Job summary

Ampersand Therapy seeks a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for a school-based role in Forest City, NC. The position is full-time for the 2026-2027 school year, with responsibilities including screening and implementing therapy protocols under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist.

You will work with students, collaborate with teachers and specialists, and help support communication goals while maintaining accurate case histories and progress notes.

Qualifications

• Passing score on a competency test approved by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists
• Registration as an assistant with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred, not required

• Administers therapeutic treatment protocols written by the speech-language pathologist.
• Communicates with students and other professionals to meet the emotional needs of students.
• Obtains case histories and completes observation checklists.
