Job summary

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation in Allentown, PA, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver rehabilitative services for patients with speech, language and swallow disorders. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to improve communication, provide education to patients and families, and ensure high standards of care.

The candidate will document assessments, diagnoses, and outcomes, participate in continuing education, and support program development across sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology required.
• CCC‑SLP certification (ASHA) preferred; licensure in Pennsylvania required.
• CFY candidates considered appropriate for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative services to patients with reduced communicative or swallow function.
• Improve functional communication and swallow skills.
• Document, date and authenticate examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, prognoses, interventions and outcomes per guidelines.
• Supervise and educate students and clinical interns as assigned.
• Bill for interventions performed following facility policies.
• Educate patients and families, provide home instructions and referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, quality care and continuity of services.

Education

Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA

Licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
