Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide individual and group therapy to students per IEP.
• Evaluate progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy.
• Conduct independent evaluations to assess eligibility for services.
• Develop clinical management strategies or statements from observations and data.
• Participate in ARD Committee to assist in placement and goal setting.
• Counsel and involve parents in remedial process.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan classroom activities to improve communication skills.
• Provide professional development in assigned schools on communication deficits.
• Create an environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior.
• May supervise licensed speech-language pathology assistants and coordinate evaluations.
