Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid speech and language therapy certificate issued by the state.
  • Strong communication with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Report to Principal and Administrator for Special Services.
  • Perform and advise in speech and language therapy services (screening, evaluation, remediation).
  • Conduct parent-staff conferences to explain findings and provide recommendations.
  • Provide professional consultation on speech and language disorders.
  • Collect data for reports and planning.
  • Attend professional workshops to stay current.
  • Develop understanding of local community educational needs.
  • Comply with district policies and procedures.
