Job summary

Saint Mary's Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Rehabilitation, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a PRN schedule. You will assess patients, design plans of care, educate families, and assist with discharges, while supervising clinical fellows and students.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's and Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, be eligible for ASHA CCC or CFY, and be licensed or eligible for licensure. Current Basic Life Support is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's in Speech-Language Pathology as required by ASHA.
• Must be eligible for ASHA CCC or CFY participation.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Designs and implements a care plan addressing identified problems.
• Educates patients and families on treatment plans and progress.
• Assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervises clinical fellows, students, and support personnel.

How you'll contribute

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.


• Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.


• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.


• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.


• Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.


• Possess or eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY).


• Licensed or eligible for licensure in state.


• Current Basic Life Support
