Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the team at St. Catherine Rehab Center. This PRN role requires evaluating patients, designing care plans, educating families, and coordinating discharges.

The candidate will supervise clinical fellows and students while contributing to high‑quality patient care in a rehab setting. Relevant licensure and ASHA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required or equivalent.
  • CCC-SLP certification or CFY eligibility required.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Designs and implements a plan of care with patient/family involvement.
  • Educates patients and families on treatment plans and progress.
  • Plans and assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
  • Supervises clinical fellows, students and support staff.

How you’ll contribute
A Speech‑Language Pathologist who excels in this role:
  • Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
  • Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.
  • Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
  • Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
  • Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.

What we’re looking for
  • A Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
  • Possess or eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY).
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in state.
  • Current Basic Life Support.
