Peninsula Post Acute in Burlingame, CA seeks a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN per diem coverage. Staff will evaluate and treat residents to maximize communication, cognition, swallowing, and quality of life within an innovative in-house rehab team.

Starting pay at $70/hour (DOE) with flexible scheduling. Requires CA license; CCC-SLP preferred; CFY encouraged. Join a collaborative team using advanced rehabilitation technology to support resident outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • California SLP license in good standing required.
  • CCC-SLP preferred; CFY candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
  • Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and dysphagia management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, and families to support outcomes.
  • Educate residents and staff on communication strategies and home programs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and quality initiatives.

Now Hiring: PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Peninsula Post Acute - Burlingame, CA Position Type: PRN (Per Diem) Pay: Starting at $70.00/hour (DOE) Join Our Innovative In-House Therapy Team Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. As a rehabilitation-focused skilled nursing facility, we are committed to helping our residents maximize their communication, cognition, swallowing, and overall quality of life. Our therapists have access to advanced rehabilitation technology and work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive clinical evaluations.
  • Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and implement evidence-based dysphagia management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, therapists, residents, and families to support optimal functional outcomes.
  • Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home programs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates (CFYs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills.
  • Passion for utilizing innovative technology to improve resident outcomes.
