Job summary

Victorian Post Acute, a 90-bed rehab-focused skilled nursing facility in California, seeks a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house therapy program. Pay starts at $65+ per hour (DOE). New graduates welcome.

In this PRN role you will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy across speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

  • Current California SLP license in good standing.
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred or eligibility as required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and provide SLP services for communication and swallowing.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians and families.
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation and participate in care conferences.
  • Educate residents and staff on communication strategies and swallowing precautions.

Victorian Post Acute is a 90-bed, rehab-focused skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our collaborative in-house therapy team.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans.
  • Provide skilled therapy services for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and implement appropriate dysphagia management strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, rehabilitation professionals, residents, and families to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning.
  • Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility documentation and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility as required by state regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
