Job summary

Victorian Post Acute is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house therapy program. This 90-bed rehab-focused facility offers flexible per diem scheduling with opportunities to pick up shifts as demand requires, and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and nursing staff.

We welcome new graduates and provide ongoing education and professional development in a supportive culture emphasizing patient-centered care and ethical productivity standards.

Qualifications

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing.
  • CCC-SLP preferred or eligibility as required by state regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans.
  • Provide skilled therapy services for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and implement appropriate dysphagia management strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, rehabilitation professionals, residents, and families to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning.
  • Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility documentation and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans.
