Job summary

Peninsula Post Acute in Burlingame, CA is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Earn $70.00/hour (DOE) while collaborating with physical, occupational, nursing, and medical staff to maximize residents’ communication and swallowing outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • California SLP license in good standing required.
  • CCC-SLP preferred; CFYs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations.
  • Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and dysphagia management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, dietitians, and therapists to optimize outcomes.
  • Educate residents and families on communication strategies and home programs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and quality initiatives.
