Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for home health in Savannah, GA. The PRN role offers patient-centered care with flexible scheduling and a supportive team environment.

You will conduct evaluations, design therapy plans, and collaborate with families and healthcare staff to maximize patient outcomes in a home setting.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients to produce sounds and improve voice.
• Teach alternative communication methods such as sign language when needed.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers on exercises to support progress outside visits.
• Document progress and complete visit notes per policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services


• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices


• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability


• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions


• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program


• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist


• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing


• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
