Job summary

Adoration Health in Griffin, GA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for home health to join our team on a PRN basis. This role delivers patient-centered, one-on-one therapy in patients' homes, focusing on communication and swallowing goals.

Responsibilities include evaluating speech or language disorders, developing treatment plans, educating families, documenting progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to support ongoing therapy outside sessions. PRN hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as an SLP in the practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language difficulties and determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, when needed.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and complete visit notes per policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
