Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our Gulfport, MS home health team. You will provide expert one-on-one therapy, assess and treat speech and language disorders, and educate patients and caregivers in therapeutic exercises.

PRN schedule offers flexible hours and team support. Minimum requirements include a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, state licensure, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the practicing state.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate levels of speech or language difficulty and determine continued therapy needs.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, where appropriate.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises to support progress outside direct sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes, and submit visit documentation per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient’s response to therapy and submit visit documentation per agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations
