Adoration Health in Fayette, AL is seeking a compassionate Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This PRN role focuses on patient-centered evaluation, therapy, and education for speech and language needs in the Fayette area.

The SLP will work with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care, with responsibilities including assessments, therapy planning, documentation, and progress updates. A current SLP license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted SLP license in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and communicate with patients to determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods, including sign language when needed.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers on therapeutic exercises for progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations
