Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services is looking for a passionate Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the team in Charlotte, NC. This position focuses on providing expert, patient-centered care in a supportive environment with flexible scheduling options. The SLP will evaluate patients' speech or language difficulties, teach methods to improve speech, and guide caregivers on therapeutic exercises.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5pm

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
