Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered speech therapy in Albemarle, NC. As part of our compassionate team, you will work independently while having support to make a profound impact on patients and their families.

Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, hold a current state license, and have at least one year of relevant experience. Flexible scheduling options and numerous benefits, including medical and dental insurance, are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in practice state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech or language difficulties of patients.
• Teach patients sound production and voice improvement.
• Instruct alternative communication methods like sign language.
• Guide team members, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises.
• Document progress and clinical notes per Agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
