Job summary

Adoration Home Health in Lenoir, NC seeks an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for Home Health services. This PRN role involves patient-centered evaluation, treatment, and education within a home-care setting.

You will collaborate with families and the care team to maintain progress and documentation according to agency policy. Eligible candidates hold a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology and current licensure in the state.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language difficulties and determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language.
• Educate healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises to support progress outside of direct sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes and submit visit documentation per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations
