Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a permanent position in Glendive, Montana. The successful candidate will assess patients with speech, hearing, and language deficits and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Job description

A great SNF / LTC is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their growing team for a permanent direct hire assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, and language deficits.
• Teach patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, and increase oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively.
• Teach individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care for each patient.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop, or recover, reliable communication and swallowing skills so that the patient can fulfill their educational, vocational and social roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school.
• Hold current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or be proactively in the process of obtaining it.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be an SLP Certified Clinical Counselor (SLP-CCC).
