Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit. The primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will hold a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and must currently hold a valid state license.

Qualifications

Schedule: Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting patient recovery and communication.
• Assesses speech and swallowing abilities.
• Develops and implements treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provides education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Documents evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology that is accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements.
• Meets the education and experience requirements for the Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA.
• Minimum of six (6) months speech therapist/speech language pathologist experience working with an adult and geriatric population.
• Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Rehabilitation or Acute Care experience preferred.
