Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication disorders. The role includes comprehensive evaluations, reviewing medical histories, and developing goals and treatment plans to promote independence.

Supervision of CFYs, interns, and rehab techs is included where allowed by state practice acts. Applicants should hold CCC from ASHA or be completing CF with supervision and must maintain current licensure in the state of

Qualifications

• CCC from ASHA or equivalent is required.
• CFY with supervision from a licensed SLP acceptable.
• Current state license in Texas or applicable practice state.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with speech-language disorders.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations using standard tools and procedures.
• Review records for diagnoses, history, and cautions.
• Establish goals and develop treatment plans to maximize independence.

Essential Functions

• Screens, evaluates, and treats Patients
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function
• Supervises CFYs, speech Interns and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act

Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association
• A Speech-Language Pathologist completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) with appropriate supervision from a certified and licensed SLP
• Current state license in the state of practice
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff
• Must be capable of performing the responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
