Job summary

Arbol Healthcare Center of Santa Rosa is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join a high-performing rehabilitation team in Santa Rosa, California. The role offers full clinical autonomy, premium hourly compensation, and a collaborative environment where your expertise matters.

The position primarily provides outpatient speech therapy services to residents in Assisted and Independent Living settings, with the option to float to SNF caseload.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current, active California SLP license is required.
  • CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute medical settings is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable goals.
  • Provide skilled therapeutic interventions addressing communication, cognition, and swallowing safety.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans based on objective data.

Arbol Healthcare Center of Santa Rosa is hiring a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join a high-performing, mission-driven rehabilitation team in Santa Rosa, California. The Role

The Speech Language Pathologist is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorder management programs. This position is classified as Non-Exempt and reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and the Facility Administrator.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations in accordance with physician orders and Arizona standards of practice
  • Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia disorders
  • Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized plans of care with measurable, function-based goals consistent with benefit and reimbursement levels
  • Providing skilled therapeutic interventions addressing communication, cognition, swallowing safety, and compensatory strategy development
  • Performing clinical swallowing evaluations and providing dysphagia management within scope of practice and competency
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans based on objective findings and clinical response
What You Bring
  • Current, active, and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of California - required
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program - required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain per facility policy)
  • Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements established by the Arizona Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
  • Experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, hospital, or related medical setting - strongly preferred
