Ampersand Therapy in Redmond, WA is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for in-person leave coverage in a school setting. The role runs ASAP through June 4, 2027, with up to 15 hours/week and 0.40 FTE.

You will provide services to preschool students under IEPs, conduct evaluations, and develop goals to support communication and early learning. Collaboration with teachers and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Active Washington State SLP license required.
• ESA certification in speech-language pathology preferred.
• Experience in school settings, especially with preschoolers, preferred.
• Must be able to work in-person and attend background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language services to preschool students per IEPs.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments of communication needs.
• Develop and implement individualized goals for speech, language, and functional communication.
• Use developmentally appropriate activities to support progress.
• Maintain service documents and progress reports.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time, in-person leave coverage assignment in Redmond, Washington. This position starts ASAP through June 4, 2027 , supporting preschool students' communication and early learning. Job Highlights:

• Location: Redmond, WA
• Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Leave Coverage
• Schedule: 0.40 FTE, up to 15 hours per week
• Setting: In-person, school-based; preschool
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 4, 2027
• Scheduling Details: Up to 7.5 hours per day, two days per week, including an unpaid, duty-free lunch break. An alternative schedule across additional days may be arranged; preschool sessions must take place in the morning.

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language services to preschool students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized goals supporting speech, language, and functional communication
• Use developmentally appropriate activities to encourage student engagement and progress
• Maintain accurate service documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support communication across learning environments
• Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning
• Coordinate with the school team to maintain continuity of services during leave coverage

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Washington State SLP license
• Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in speech-language pathology
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Experience supporting preschool students preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Availability to provide in-person services, including morning preschool sessions
• Ability to complete required district onboarding and background checks
