Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Parkersburg, WV, seeks a salaried Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve residents at Eagle Pointe and Worthington Healthcare Centers. The role is split between locations, with an in-house care team and a culture emphasizing continuity of care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and an active or pending WV SLP license. Generous PTO, CEU access, and flexible scheduling support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Valid or pending State SLP License required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patients' charts and develop treatment plans.
• Plan and conduct rehabilitative therapy to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive skills; administer tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on speech practice, diet/swallowing safety, and home exercises.
• Attend and/or lead interdisciplinary meetings to relay findings and recommendations.
• Treat at multiple locations to meet residents' diverse needs.
