Job summary

Charleston Healthcare Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our in-house therapy team at Charleston, WV, with opportunities at Wayne Healthcare Center as well. You will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy to improve communication, swallowing, and cognition.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's and/or a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patients' medical charts and evaluations under physician order; develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative programs to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive issues; administer and interpret tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and practice new skills and safe swallowing techniques.
• Attend or lead interdisciplinary meetings to relay findings and recommendations to rehab team and families.
• Opportunity to treat at multiple locations to serve diverse resident needs.
