Job summary

Advanced Hiring System is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for a Skilled Nursing Facility. The SLP will work with adults with complex communication needs and join a collaborative rehab team in a supportive SNF environment.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with families and healthcare professionals. NY SLP license or CF eligibility is required; CFs welcome.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• New York State SLP license or Clinical Fellowship eligibility required.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities and dysphagia knowledge a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based treatment of speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation including daily notes, progress reports, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
• Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices and medical terminology.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and state/federal regulations.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of dysphagia and cognitive rehabilitation preferred
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
• Experience with Net Health/Rehab Optima is a plus
