Job summary

Skilled Nursing of New York is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role in our Queens facility. You will evaluate residents, develop and monitor treatment plans, and document progress in compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited SLP program, holds a New York State SLP license, and has experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care; new graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Speech Therapy evaluations & examinations to diagnose residents and develop treatment plans.
  • Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Record information on initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients.
  • Observe and assess progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a cooperative relationship.
  • Support state-of-the-art rehabilitation practices in daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members
