Job summary

The Evergreen Center is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver consultative speech and language services across classrooms and residences for children and young adults aged 6 to 22. The SLP will evaluate students, help develop IEP goals, train staff, and lead program development and monitoring.

AAC experience is encouraged given extensive use of communication devices. The SLP will perform AAC evaluations, provide recommendations, and train staff while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have graduate degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• Must be licensed or have filed for MA licensure.
• Must have or be in process of MA Educator's Certificate (teaching certification).
• ASHA certification is required or anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative speech and language services to classrooms and residences for ages 6–22.
• Perform student evaluations and assist in IEP goal development.
• Provide staff training and program development/monitoring.
• Complete AAC evaluations, make recommendations, and train staff; keep systems updated.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and BCBA teams to enhance communication across settings.

Job Description

Evergreen Center is seeking a full time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide consultative speech and language services to classrooms and residences serving children from ages 6 to 22. The SLP is responsible for student evaluations, IEP goal development, staff training, and program development and monitoring. AAC experience is recommended due to a high use of communication systems and devices in our student population. The SLP is expected to complete AAC evaluations, make recommendations, provide staff training, and keep communication systems updated. This role works collaboratively with teachers, staff, and BCBAs to promote communication development across all settings. We have a large and growing Therapy Department who work together to enhance student access to educational and community experiences and our clinicians have access to a variety of resources, devices, and materials to meet student needs. Opportunities exist for professional development and research.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a certified degree program of Speech Pathology
• Must be currently licensed or have filed for a license in Massachusetts
