Job summary

MBS - Milestones Behavioral Services seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide effective speech intervention for students. Job description

The Essential Functions of this position are:

  • Identify, evaluate and provide speech intervention for impacted students.
  • Develop goals, objectives and treatment plans that suit individual student needs within a diverse population.
  • Keep detailed records relating to students’ assessments, IEPs and progress.
  • Ensure the highest standards of student care by collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the program's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Report progress and interpret assessment results to stakeholders, including but not limited to, school districts, SPED/BCBAs and family members.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team environment, including but not limited to SPED teacher/BCBAs, Behavior Specialists to develop and implement comprehensive IEPs across school locations.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in the SLP field and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Fulfill hours as assigned by IEPs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications and requirements:

  • Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • A valid CT state certification for SLP (endorsement #061) required.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP required.
  • Experience in assessment and intervention for a variety of speech and language disorders.
  • Experience with AAC assessment and AAC implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education

Bachelors or better in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
