Job summary

Evergreen Center, Inc. is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide consultative speech and language services to classrooms and residences serving children ages 6 to 22. The SLP evaluates students, develops IEP goals, trains staff, and helps with program development and monitoring.

AAC experience and MA licensure/education credentials are expected. The role offers opportunities for professional development and collaboration with a large Therapy Department.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Massachusetts licensure or active licensure filing.
  • Massachusetts Educator's Certificate required or in process.
  • ASHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultative speech and language services to classrooms and residences serving ages 6–22.
  • Conduct student evaluations and develop IEP goals.
  • Train staff and assist with program development and monitoring.
  • Complete AAC evaluations, make recommendations, and update communication systems.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and BCBA to promote communication across settings.

Job Description

Evergreen Center is seeking a full timeSpeech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide consultative speech and language services to classrooms and residences serving children from ages 6 to 22.The SLP is responsible for student evaluations, IEP goal development, staff training, and program development and monitoring.AAC experience is recommended due to a high use of communication systems and devices in our student population.The SLP is expected to complete AAC evaluations, make recommendations, provide staff training, and keep communication systems updated.This role works collaboratively with teachers, staff, and BCBAs to promote communication development across all settings. We have a large and growing Therapy Department who work together to enhance student access to educational and community experiences and our clinicians have access to a variety of resources, devices, and materials to meet student needs.Opportunities exist for professional development and research.

Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of a certified degree program of Speech Pathology
  • Must be currently licensed or have filed for a license in Massachusetts
  • Must have or has applied for a teaching certification (Educator's Certificate) in Massachusetts
  • ASHA certification
