Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Prosper, TX seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric services in patients’ homes or daytime facilities. The role involves diagnosing and treating speech-language disorders for children 0–21, with at least 2 sessions per week, under physician orders.

The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document findings, and educate families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification and Texas license to practice.
• Experience in pediatrics required; home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities 0–21 years old, 2+ times weekly.
• Identify and document speech, language, voice, feeding, and related impairments using appropriate assessments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to set and evaluate goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients through training and materials.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years experience.

• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
