Job summary

Mariner Healthcare in California is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents within the scope of practice and federal guidelines.

The role includes developing plans of care, administering and interpreting tests, and supporting residents with swallow techniques while maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
• CCC-SLP certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
