Job summary

Adelphi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Maryland is seeking a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maximize communication and swallowing safety. You will provide direct patient care, document progress, and educate residents and families.

Licensure in good standing is required; prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Experience in long-term care and geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assess medical conditions and rehabilitation potential.
• Establish and administer treatment programs with goals based on patient capacity.
• Document and record patient status and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred
