As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a Florida school-based, onsite setting, you’ll help students access learning by strengthening communication skills across the school day. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday for 35 hours/week in West Palm Beach.
You arrive during typical school hours (think 8:00–3:00 energy), scan your schedule, and set up your space—maybe with an AAC device charged and ready. Sessions roll by in a steady rhythm: quick transitions, lots of small wins, and the occasional “aha” moment that makes the hallway noise fade out.
Between groups, you update notes in the documentation system, tweak tomorrow’s materials, and swap insights with teachers and the special education team. Some days include an IEP meeting—equal parts listening, translating jargon into clarity, and making sure goals feel real for the student.
By the end of the day, you’ve moved the needle in ways that don’t always fit on a spreadsheet—but absolutely show up in the classroom.
