Driftwood Healthcare Center Santa Cruz is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities. You will work under physician direction to implement care plans and conduct rehabilitative treatments in a team setting.

Qualifications include a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, a current CA license, and a clinical competency certification.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current license in Speech Therapy as required by state law.
• Certification in clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• Under a physician’s direction, provides direct patient treatment based on plan of care.
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment to restore communicative function.
• Administers, scores, and interprets speech/hearing tests.
• Instructs residents and families to monitor speech and practice skills.
• Maintains patient records per policy and regulations.
• Devises tools and treatments for patient needs.
