Job summary

Recover-Care in the United States seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities under a physician's direction.

You will screen, develop care plans, conduct rehabilitative therapy, administer tests, educate families, and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines. A Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology and active licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current license in Speech Therapy as required by state law.
• Certification in clinical competency.
• One-year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under a physician’s direction, provides direct patient/resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plan.
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.
