Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• Current California license to practice Speech Therapy is required.
• Certification in clinical competency is required.
• One year of clinical experience is preferred.
• Covid-19 vaccine is required and compliant with state mandates.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• Under physician direction, provides direct patient treatment based on plan of care.
• Plans and conducts rehabilitative programs to improve communication and swallowing.
• Administers, scores and interprets speech/hearing tests.
• Instructs residents and families on monitoring and practicing new skills.
• Completes forms and maintains records per policy and regulations.
• Maintains patient records accurately and timely.
• Develops tools and treatments tailored to patient needs.
