Job summary

Northwoods Rehab is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive therapy services to residents. You will assess, treat, and plan programs under physician orders and coordinate with families and the rehab team.

The role emphasizes ongoing documentation, treatment planning, and discharge planning, with supervision of aides and students. A current state license or eligibility is required, and CFY candidates are considered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Eligibility for Certification of Clinical Competence or CFY prior to or during employment.
• Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct speech therapy services to residents, including assessment and treatment planning.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with short and long-term goals.
• Conduct resident screenings to determine intervention needs and referrals as appropriate.
• Document assessment results, treatment progress and discharge planning.
• Coordinate treatment with family and other team members.
• Supervise rehabilitation techs, students and volunteers.
• Maintain safety, infection control and professional standards in daily practice.
