Job summary

Linwood Meadows Care Center in Visalia, CA is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehab team. The role involves evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders and facility policy.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a current California SLP license, and strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current California SLP license in good standing.
• Experience supervising CFY clinicians is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approval.
• Administer treatments per the approved plan of care.
• Supervise SLP Assistants and CFY clinicians.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team about patient status and progress.
• Document evaluations, notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
• Provide caregiver and staff education for post-discharge maintenance.
