Job summary

Shepherd Center is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with cognitive‑communication and dysphagia impairments in a multidisciplinary setting. The role emphasizes education for patients and families, collaborative care planning, and adherence to ASHA guidelines.

Master’s or Doctoral degree in SLP is required, Georgia licensure, and eligibility for CF‑leading to certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology.
• Licensed to practice in Georgia.
• ASHA certification or CF leading to certification (eligible).
• Basic computer and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities and develop an individualized Plan Of Care.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and create patient-centered care plans.
• Educate patients and caregivers on cognitive-linguistic and swallowing issues and safety needs.
• Collaborate with intra-disciplinary teams to guide rehabilitation.
• Provide discharge planning recommendations and complete documentation per policies.
• Mentor students and participate in center initiatives.
