Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to conduct and direct speech therapy programs for rehabilitation, guiding resident participation to restore and enhance communication and swallowing skills. The role emphasizes collaboration with the rehabilitation team to tailor treatment and maintain quality care.

The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure eligibility, and CCC-SLP eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Master’s Level Speech Language curriculum certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state.
• Eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops treatment goals, implements speech therapy plan and documents results.
• Coordinates adaptive communication devices and instructs residents in their use.
• Selects activities suited to each resident’s capacity and interests.
• Collaborates with the rehab team to choose appropriate therapy regimen.
• Instructs residents in skills for participation and monitors progress and attitudes.
• Adapts programs to each resident’s needs.
• Attends resident care and related meetings.
• Conducts training for staff in speech therapy techniques.
• Supervises supportive personnel according to standards.
• Maintains and reports equipment needs.
