Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care in Los Angeles, focusing on evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

The role involves supervising Clinical Fellows and staff, documenting care in medical records, and coordinating with families and the rehab team. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered and CPR is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment related to medically based speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all types and levels of staff and patients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities within patient limitations.
• Evaluates and treats patients; communicates with families, physicians and health team members.
• Documents services in medical records and maintains progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Supervises Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care and related activities.
• Ensures safe working practices and adherence to regulatory requirements.
