Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility setting. You will evaluate and treat patients, document progress, and collaborate with families and physicians.

The role includes supervision of clinical fellows and other SLPs, with a focus on evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary teamwork. Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology is required, plus California licensure or licensure-eligible status.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment in medically based disorders.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides diagnostic and treatment services to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Documents services in medical records and communicates with families and physicians.
• Supervises Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care.
• Writes accurate documentation including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
